Defending champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team are leaving nothing to chance as they intensified their training ahead of the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League set to serve off this Friday through to Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium, Nairobi.
KCB will cross sword with rivals Kenya Pipeline on Friday, tackle Post Bank on Saturday before they wrap up the weekend with another tricky tie against Kenya Prisons on Sunday.
KCB coach Japheth Munala was optimistic ahead of the fixtures saying the players have put in the work and they were ready to rumble.
“The players are motivated and ready to showcase their skills. We didn’t have the chance to play during the first leg in Nyeri as our opponents(Deaf Volleyball Team) were a no show but now we have a busy schedule and the players cant wait to play. Our captain Edith Wisa who was not available for selection due to knee injury in Nyeri is likely to be fit for selection,” said Munala.
“Right attacker Pauline Chemtai is however a doubt for the fixtures due to the knee injury she sustained during the training. We are also excited about the presence of Marylene Terry and Faith Obeko who will join us from Kwanthanze Secondary School,” he added.
