Kenya Pipeline women’s volleyball team Monday night lost to Rwanda Patriotic Army of Rwanda in the final of the Confederation of Africa Volleyball Zone V Clubs Championship 3-1(25-20,17-25,26-24,25-23) as the annual event ended at the Lugogo Indoor arena, Kampala, Uganda.
The Oilers had beaten Sport-S of Uganda 3-0(25-19,25-22,25-15) on Sunday to book the Rwandese side in the final who had defeated KCB Nkumba 3-0(25-16,25-11,25-10) in the other semi-final.
Pipeline had won the last edition that was held in Kigali, Rwanda in 2023 after seeing off Rwanda Revenue Authority.
The former Kenya Volleyball Federation National League champions are expected back in the country on Wednesday.
There will be no time to rest for Pipeline who are expected to compete in the fourth leg of the KVF National League at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium and the outdoor courts on Thursday to Sunday.
