Celebrated Kenya women’s volleyball team setter Janet Wanja was laid to rest on Friday at the Lang’ata Cemetary, Nairobi.
Wanja died on December 26, 2024 at her home in Kasarani surrounded by her family members.
The Malkia striker’s trainer died after a brave battle with gall bladder cancer.
Wanja was fresh from accompanying the Malkia Strikers at the Paris Olympic Games as trainer.
Family, close friends, current and former players as well as officials from various federations graced the burial ceremony.
