International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Beach Coaching Course participants have praised instructor Javier Bosma fom Spain for his exemplary delivery as the Course comes to an end on Thursday at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi.
The Course that entailed practical and theory sessions served off on Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium and Strathmore University ground respectively.
The five-day event had attracted 26 participants including current and former players, National referees and coaches.
Coach Sila Makiso, said that Bosma conducted his session with ease and in a very simple way.
“His classes were simple but to the detail. It was really amazing listening and watching him throughout this period. We thank him and the federation at large for this Course and we look forward to more Course. Definitely we are better than we came,” said Makiso.
Teacher and national referee Aisha Sanyu said, “The sessions were as simple as they could get. Surely if we do not leave this place a better coach or player then, there will be nowhere to get such great and mind-boggling skills and information. Bosma was great in his delivery, and we are glad to have had him to take us through this course,” said Sanyu.
Player Phoscah Kasisi revealed that Bosma tipped her and Brackcides Agala to be competitive at the World stage.
“You are good players who deserve to compete at a world stage. There are just a few areas that you need to polish, and you will be good to go,” said Kasisi, who plays for KCB Women’s Volleyball Team.
Player Naomi Too who partnered with Olympian Gaudencia Makokha to win Silver medal at the 2019 Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco during the said, “The skills and ideas we have picked will come in handy someday. I really want to coach young players between the age of 15-18 where I can instill in them these skills for the betterment and the growth of the sport in the country. The theory but more so, the practical was really good,”
