Mt Kenya Base Yetu search for a first win of the Kenya Volleyball Federation men’s National League continues after they lost their ninth match against Rift Valley Prisons 3-0(25-11,25-13,25-14) at the Nyayo National stadium gymnasium, Nairobi on Friday.
The Nyeri County based club is rooted bottom winless from nine matches in a 10-team League.
Base Yetu are courting relegation as the regular season nears it’s end to set up play-offs scheduled for May.
At the end of regular season, the top eight men and women’s teams book tickets to the play-offs.
At the end of the regular season, the top two teams in the Division Two are promoted to the top tier, while the bottom two teams in the National League are demoted to the second tier.
On the other hand, Kenya Defence Forces defeated Western Prisons 3-0(25-23,25-16,25-18) as Kenya Airport Police Unit shocked Kenya Army 3-0(25-13,25-19,25-22).
