“If there was anything i could have done to make you well, you know i could. You loved me. You could just call randomly to check on me after work.I’m sad but what makes me hurt are my two daughters that keeps on telling me they miss Aunty Wanja. You loved them deeply as if they were your own,”said Kevin Kimani brother to celebrated Kenya women’s volleyball team trainer Janet Wanja who died on December 26 at her home in Kasarani, Nairobi.
Kimani spoke during a memorial service at Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi on Thursday.
Wanja will be laid to rest on January 3 at the Lang’ata Cemetery, Nairobi.
Wanja died after a short battle with gall bladder cancer.
