Decorated volleyball coach David Lung’ho was on Thursday was promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Prisons.
Lung’ho who has previously coached the Kenya Prisons men and women’s teams was a Chief Inspector before the promotion.
The ceremeony was conducted by Deputy Commandant ACGP Beverlyne Lungatso and Director of Studies ACGP Ann Gatimu.
Lung’ho has had stints with Kenya women’s volleyball team, Malkia Strikers and Wafalme Stars assistant coach said the development gave him the urge to work harder.
Demosh as he is vividly called in volleyball circles was on touchline as Malkia Strikers recorded a historic win during the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix in Australia.
Lung’aho was also part of the technical bench as Wafalme defied odds to beat Egypt during the African Nations Championship in Kigali, Rwanda in 2021.
“The promotion is great. It gives me motivation to work harder ,i thank God for this recognition,” said Lung’ho who chairs Kenya Volleyball Federation Coaching Commission.
