Instrumental Kenya Prisons men’s volleyball team left attacker Denis Esokon who joined Rwanda Volleyball Federation National League defending champions Rwanda Patriotic Army(APR) is settling in well in the Rwandese League.
Esokon who was feted the Most Valuable Player last season was paramount as Kenya Prisons reclaimed the National League title
Esokon, a left attacker was in the starting line up as APR defeated KEPLER 3-1 (26-24, 23-25, 31-29, 26-24) on Friday.
Esokon move to Rwanda comes a day after reliable Kenya Prisons opposite hitter Elphas Makuto signed for Rwanda National Police.
Esokon’s move to Rwanda brings to six players who have turned professional.
Others are Enock Mogeni, Simion Kipkorir,Peter Kamara, Abiud Chirchir and Moses Sialo.
With two key players having left Kenya Prisons, it remains to be seen how the National League defending champions, Prisons perform in the league.
