Lang’ata High School volleyball team coach Francis Mwangi is upbeat ahead of the new season of the Kenya Volleyball Federation men’s Division Two League that serves off on November 15 at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi.
The side coached by Francis Mwangi will however begin their campaign next year January as the players are away on holidays.
Lang’ata were scheduled to play Micro Spikers this Friday, battle Eldoret Water on Saturday and Beast Volleyball on Sunday.
Lang’ata who finished ninth in their debut last season are hopeful of a better outing this season.
“Only three players will exit the team as they will have completed their form Form Four studies, but i have cover and i hope that we will do much better this season,” said Mwangi a former Hospital Hill coach.
“Our participation in the League last season gave us exposure and experience that in the end helped us reach semi-final of the Kenya Secondary School Sports Association National. We will knowing very well that the more we continue competing in the League, the more we gain valuable lessons that in return we will use in the School Games,”he added.
Hospital Hill defeated Lang’ata 3-1 in the semifinal.
Lang’ata will be without the services of setter Gideon Kipkemoi, Left attacker Kevin Chelote and captain and opposite Geoffrey Muini.
