Familiar opponents will clash in the boys’ and girls’ final of the Kenya Secondary School Sport Association (KSSSA) national Term Two Games that ends on Saturday at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega County.
National champions Kesogon who beat Bishop Sulumeti from Western region 3-0 (31-29,26-24,25-15) in the semifinal on Friday will face off with Kwanthanze Secondary School from Eastern who saw off Soweto Academy from Nairobi 3-0(25-17,25-12,25-13).
In the boy’s final, former champions Malava High School from Western will welcome national champions Cheptil from Rift valley region.
Cheptil beat Mwaluphamba from Coast region 3-0(25-18,25-12,25-13) in the semi, while Malava dismissed Godo 3-1(25-18,19-25,25-16,25-14) in the last four.
Soweto will play Sulumeti in the third-place play-off while Gogo will take on Mwaluphamba in the third-place play-off at the same venue.
All the teams have qualified for the East Africa Games that gets underway on August 14-24 in Kakamega County.
Kenya was given the four slots in all the discipline by virtue of being the host.
