National champions Cheptil boys Secondary School, former champions Malava Secondary School Wednesday booked early tickets to the semi-final of the ongoing Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term Two games at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and technology in Kakamega County.
With the last four positions sealed, they have also qualified for the East Africa Games set for August 14-24in Kakamega County.
Kenya will be represented by four teams in each discipline by virtue of being the hosts.
Cheptil beat Gogo Secondary School from Nyanza region 3-0(25-20,25-22,25-16), while Malava defeated Nairobi region champions Ruthimitu Secondary School 3-025-15,25-18,25-19).
Cheptil had defeated Furaha Secondary School from Northeastern region 3-0 on Tuesday at the same venue , while Malava beat Gankanga secondary School from Eastern region 3-0.
In girls’ results, national champions Kesogon,Kwanthanze Secondary School and Bishop Sulumeti from Western region also booked the last four slots after bagging wins at the same venue.
Kwanthanze defeated Eldas 3-0(25-1,25-2,25-4), Sulumeti overpowered Nyakongo from Nyanza region 3-2(25-22,25-17,12-25,24-26 and 15-12) while Kesogon defeated Kinale 3-0(25-12,25-7,25-12).
The semifinals will be played on Friday at the same venue.
