Kenya women’s volleyball team, Malkia Strikers and under 20 women’s volleyball teams have intensified training at the Nyayo National stadium outdoor courts in Nairobi ahead of their upcoming event next month.
Malkia Strikers are preparing for the FIVB World Championship in Thailand set for August 22 to September 7 , while U20 team is up in the arm for August 2-14 African Championship in Cameroon.
Malkia Strikers are under the guidance of Kenya Pipeline coach Geoffrey Omondi, while the U20 team are under the tutelage of former Kenyan international and Kenya Defence Forces women’s volleyball team coach Jackline Barasa.
Kenya will field 12 players for the African championship, while 14 players will represent the country at the Worlds.
