Malkia Strikers outside hitter Veronica Adhiambo has been drafted in the provisional squad to African Beach Volleyball Championship to be hosted in Martil, Morocco.
The championship is set for June 23-30.
Adhiambo replaced Naomi Too who had earlier been drafted in the team.
Naomi has been named the coach for under 18 girls ahead of Africa Schools championship to be staged in Algiers.
This championship will also serve as a qualification for the World Beach Volleyball World Championship under the aegis of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Adhiambo will form part of the team that starts training at the Strathmore University grounds in Nairobi on Wednesday.
Other players in the team are Olympian Guadencia Makokha,Phoscah Kasisi,Mercy Iminza and Sharon Arusei.
The men’s provisional squad has Jairus Kipkosgei,Elphas Makuto,Brian Melly, Donald Mchete, Wilson Cheruyot and Joseph Muliro.
Sammy Mulinge will be the head coach for the men’s team while Salome Wanjala will be the women’s coach.
