Experienced Kenya Prisons coach Josp Barasa conceded defeat saying their poor finishing was their main undoing as they lost to Directorate of Criminal Investigations 3-2 (25-21,25-22,17-25,16-25 and 15-12) during the Kenya Volleyball Federation Women’s National League semi-final play-offs at the Makande hall, in Mombasa County on Saturday.
Prisons had on Friday lost to DCI with the same set ratio.
Barasa wished DCI well ahead of the final scheduled for next month in Nairobi.
Barasa said their strong point-blocking collapsed when it mattered the most and they were punished.
“DCI were good and they outsmarted us. They have really improved, and they deserve the win. I can only wish them well in the final. We will now plan for Kenya Cup and next season,”said Barasa, a former national team assistant coach
Prisons will now play KCB in the third-place play-offs at the same venue.
