The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Wednesday, led by deputy president Paul Bitok, alongside deputy treasurer Moses Mbuthia, National Organising Secretary John Oronje, and Committee Member Neddy Kilimo, met with key figures from the Administration Police Service (APS) of Kenya to discuss future collaborations aimed at enhancing the sport and its infrastructure.
The delegation from KVF paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Inspector General of Administration Police Service, Gilbert Masengeli, Assistant Inspector General of Administration Police Service Lazarus Opicho, and the Director of Sports and Chaplaincy Ibrahim Ramadham Omar,
The key points discussed during the meeting included Future of the APK Volleyball Team: Developing strategies and plans to elevate the team’s performance and visibility.
Employment of New Players: -Identifying and recruiting talented players to strengthen the team.
Construction of a Gymnasium at Utawala-Plans for a new gymnasium that meets international standards and can accommodate a volleyball field, providing a dedicated space for training and competitions.
Other discussion was, Sponsorship for the Kenya Cup: * Exploring potential sponsorship opportunities to support the prestigious Kenya Cup and ensure its continued success, as well as the Potential Partnerships: * Discussing other areas for collaboration between KVF and APS to promote sports and community engagement.
In a significant step towards promoting sports and fostering community development, KVF has engaged in meaningful discussions with the APK.
The meeting provided a platform to discuss various initiatives, including the development of the APK volleyball team, recruitment of new players, construction of a state-of-the-art gymnasium at Utawala, and potential sponsorship for the Kenya Cup. These discussions underscore the commitment of both KVF and APS to promoting sports and enhancing infrastructure.
