Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) president Bouchra Hajij led the volleyball fraternity in mourning the death of the Kenya’s former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga,
Raila will be buried on Sunday in Bondo, Siaya County.
Raila,80 died of cardiac arrest while receiving treatment in India, medical officials at Devamatha Hospital in Kerala confirmed.
In a press statement addressed to the Kenya Volleyball Federation Charles Nyaberi, Bouchra said Raila’s lifelong dedication to democracy, unity, and the empowerment of African people will remain a lasting legacy. His visionary leadership, courage and unwavering commitment to justice and equality have inspired countless individuals across the African.
“It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that i have learnt of the passing of the Right Honorable Raila Amolo Odinga former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya, a revered statesman and one of Africa’s most distinguished leaders. On behalf of CAVB, its board of administration and the entire African volleyball family, i wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the Kenya Volleyball Federation, and through you, to the government and the people of the Republic of Kenya.Our thoughts and prayers are with his family,Kenya and all who mourn this great loss.
