The 2025 Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term Two Games begun in earnest on Tuesday at various venues across Kakamega County.
In boys and girls matches that were played the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega County, Nairobi champions Ruthimitu boys Secondary School suffered at the hands of newcomers Mwaluphamba secondary School from Coast region 2-3(29-31, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 12-15) while national champions Cheptil dismissed Furaha Secondary School from North Eastern 3-0(25-19, 25-21, 25-17) while former champion national Malava Secondary School from Western region defeated Gankanga Secondary from Eastern region 3-0(25-20, 25-19, 25-10)
Nyanza champions who are making a maiden appearance at the games saw off Kambaa secondary from Central region 3-0(25-18,25-14,25-16).
In girls, national and Rift volleyball champions Kesogon beat Soweto Academy from Nairobi region 3-0(25-12, 25-14, 25-19), while East Africa champions Kwanthanze Secondary School beat Nyakongo secondary school from Nyanza region 3-0(25-12, 25-14, 25-22) while Moi Forces saw overwhelmed Kinale 3-0(25-16, 25-14, 25-17) before western region champions Bishop Sulumeti dismissed Eldas 3-0(25-4, 25-5, 25-10)
