Kenya men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams were scheduled to fly out of the Country on Sunday at 6pm aboard Qatar Airways for the CAVB Continental Championship set to serve off on June 23-30 in Tetouan in Morocco.
The team was flagged off at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on Sunday.
Present during the team flag off were Kenya Volleyball Federation President Charles Nyaberi, deputy president Paul Bitok, second Vice President Kenneth Tonui, and deputy fixture secretary Alfred Chedotum.
Also, president was Beach volleyball and Equity Bank coach Patrick Owino.
The team will be seeking to qualify for the World Championship.
Morocco bound team
Olympian Gaudencia Makokha, Sharleen Maywa, Veronica Adhiambo, Mercy Iminza, Elphas Makuto, Jairus Kipkosgei, Brian Melly and Wilson Waibei.
