Kenya beach men’s volleyball team coach Patrick Owino has decried the short time they have had to train ahead of the CAVB 2025 African Continental championship but remained positive of qualifying for the World Championship.
The qualifiers are primed for June 23-30 in Morocco.
Owino said the sport is gaining popularity in the country adding that the fact that it has been introduced at the School Games was a plus for the federation.
Owino who also coaches Equity Bank men’s volleyball team that competes in the National League, said the training has been good saying there was no injury and the players are in shape and in good mood.
Owino was speaking after guiding the team in the afternoon training session at the Strathmore University grounds in Nairobi on Wednesday.
