Kenya Pipeline coach Geoffrey Omondi says they have a tough opponent in the forthcoming Kenya Volleyball Federation Women’s National League play-offs final at the Moi International Sports Centre indoor arena, Kasarani in Nairobi.
Pipeline will battle Directorate of Criminal Investigation on June 6-8 in Nairobi after both sides won their respective semi-finals at Makande hall in Mombasa on Saturday.
Pipeline beat defending champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team 3-1 to complete a double against the bankers.
While DCI sealed a slot in the finals after defeating former champions Kenya Prions 3-2 in both matches of the best of three format.
Omondi said after failing to capture the Zone Five title in Uganda and the African Clubs Champions in Nigeria, they have a chance to bag the National title.
“It’s only fair that we win the national league and the Kenya Cup. We failed to capture the zone five title and the African title. We know DCI is a worthy opponent and we are going to work hard to emerge winners,” said Omondi who double ups the Malkia Strikers coach.
