All roads will lead to Makande hall, in Mombasa as the Kenya Volleyball Federation men and women’s National League semi-finals play-offs gets underway on Friday to Sunday.
The competition has attracted four teams in each gender which will be played in the best of three series.
The winners in last four will book a ticket to the finals primed for next month in Nairobi.
On cards, former champions General Service Unit will play Equity Bank, while defending champions Kenya Prisons will tackle Kenya Ports Authority.
Prisons who have blown hot and cold this season, face a side that will be buoyed by home advantage and a full and rich squad at their disposal.
With two key players missing, Prisons are likely to start as least favorite, but they have always rose to the occasion even at their worst.
Prisons are without dependable duo of Elphas Makuto and Dennis Esokon who are away in Rwanda for professionals’ stints.
Against GSU, Equity who have been impressive this season are expected to dig deep to overcome the stubborn paramilitary side that is eager to reclaim the League title.
The odds are for GSU if their previous outings are anything to go by, but the bankers will be out to prove a thing or two this being their first time to play in the semi-final.
It’s game on!
