“We are not an easy opponent,” those were the words of Equity Bank Jack Miduma to General Service Unit ahead of their Kenya Volleyball Federation National League -semi-final play-offs set for Makande hall, in Mombasa on May 23-25.
The two teams booked the last four positions during the quarterfinal ties at the Kasarani indoor arena, in Nairobi over the weekend.
Equity had to dig deep to see off Kenya Defence Forces 3-2 in the best of three series, while General Service Unit beat Kenya Airports Police Unit 3-0.
“On paper we are an easy opponent, but GSU should expect a tough match. We have worked hard to qualify for the semi-final, and we are unstoppable. We have targets that must be achieved,” said Miduma.
“We had a game plan that worked in our favor when we played KDF. We had to lock out Aggrey Kibungei who had really tormented our team, and the tactic worked. We had to also split their blocks that had denied us scores, and we thank God it worked. And so, we look forward to the semi-final clash, “he added.
