Defending champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team, Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Prisons and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) recorded wins as the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League play-offs spiked off on Friday at the Nyayo National stadium gymnasium, in Nairobi.
KCB beat Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-0(25-10,25-16,25-13), DCI overwhelmed Post Babk 3-0(25-11,25-22,25-18) as Pipeline who are fresh from winning a bronze medal at the African Clubs Championship in Abuja Nigeria dismissed Nairobi Prisons 3-0(25-16,25-13,25-14) before Prisons defeated Kenya Army 3-0(25-13,25-19,25-13).
KCB, Pipeline, Kenya Prisons and DCI needs to win Saturday matches to book a place in the Semi-final that will be played at the Makande hall, in Mombasa County on May 23-25.
Should either of the teams lose Saturday match, then they will play a decider match on Sunday to determine who qualify for the last four in the competition that is being played on the best of three series.
At the end of the play-offs, the top two teams will automatically qualify for the next year’s African Clubs Championship.
