Eventual winners in the Kenya Volleyball Federation men and women’s National League play-offs that gets underway Friday in Nairobi will pocket Sh300,000.
Runners up will go home 200,000 richer while third placed will bag 100,000 as fifth-placed will take home 50,000.
The women’s matches will be played at Nyayo National stadium gymnasium,while the men’s fixtures will be at the Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi.
Speaking during the Technical meeting at the Moi International Sports Centre indoor arena, Nairobi on Friday, KVF deputy president Paul Bitok praised the eight teams in both categories for qualifying the play-offs.
Bitok also thanked the referees for a well-done job.
“The Malkia Strikers technical bench will be on look out during these play-offs and therefore i call upon all the players to show case their talents and bring their A game. Plans are underway to have the matches beamed live and it’s just a matter of putting pen to paper. I also urge the teams to invest in quality uniforms which in the end attract sponsors,” said Bitok.
Other National executive members at the venue were Mududa Waweru,Ismail Chege,John Oronje,Alfred Chedatum,Moses Mbuthia and Wachira Gatuiria.
