Much-improved Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Sunday defied odds to beat pre-match favorite Kenya Pipeline 3-1(25-23,22-25,25-20,25-23) as the Kenya Volleyball Federation Women’s National League ended at the Nyayo National Stadium outdoor court, Nairobi.
DCI inflicted Pipeline to their first loss of the season ahead of the National League play-offs that serves off on Friday at the Nyayo gymnasium.
Prior to Sunday’s match, the Oilers had not recorded a loss.
Both teams still formed part of the teams that have qualified for the last eight.
Other teams that will play in the play-offs are defending champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team, Kenya Prisons, Post Bank, Kenya Defence Forces, Nairobi Prisons and Kenya Army
