Kenya Defence Force women’s volleyball team Friday ended the regular Kenya Volleyball Federation National League on a losing note falling to Directorate of Criminal Investigations 3-0(27-25,25-20,25-17) at the Nyayo National stadium, outdoor court, Nairobi.
Despite the loss, KDF still qualified for the play-offs set to spike off on Friday at the Nyayo gymnasium.
KDF coach and former national team middle blocker Jackline Baraza said the regular season was water under bridge now and their focus was on the National League play-offs where they intend to retain their six-place finish.
“Our reception was wanting and also execution of the match was not good, but we hope to improve before the play-offs. We look forward to retaining our sixth-place finish or go one better,” said Barasa.
