Kenya Airports Police Unit (KAPU) who are making their maiden appearance in the Kenya Volleyball Federation men’s National League stunned regulars Kenya Ports Authority 3-2(17-25,21-25,28-26,29-27 and 15-9) at the Nyayo National Stadium, gymnasium, Nairobi on Saturday.
KAPU were promoted to the top tier from the Division Two this season.
The much-improved KAPU under the stewardship of former Kenyan International Luke Makuto came from two sets down to see off the visiting coastal side.
KAPU who have had a successful leg will wrap up the four-day event with a tie against Trailblazers on Sunday at the Moi International Sports Centre indoor arena, Kasarani, Nairobi.
KAPU have won against Kenya Army, Western Prisons and KPA.
In the other results, Nairobi Prisons beat Western Prisons 3-0(25-18,25-22,25-18) as Rift Valley Prisons won against National Youth Service 3-1( 24-26,25-17,25-17,25-20) and Equity Bank defeated Kenya Army 3-0(25-15,25-17,25-16).
