Defending champions Kenya Pipeline Thursday begun their title defence with a deserved 3-0(25-16,25-20,25-23) win over Ndejje Elites at the Lugogo Indoor Arena, Kampala, Uganda as the CAVB Zone V men and women’s Clubs Championship served off.
The Oilers who have been drawn in pool “A ” will take on Prisons Tanzania on Friday before they play KCB Nkumba in the other matches.
After the round of pool matches, the teams will proceed to the quarter-final stage.
Pipeline who are the only Kenyan representatives at the annual event won the 2023 edition that was held in Kigali in Rwanda.
Pipeline defeated Rwanda Revenue Authority 3-0 in the final.
