The position for Malkia Strikers head coach that Kenya Volleyball Federation advertised last month has attracted five coaches.
The coaches who have shown interest are veteran coach Japheth Munala(Level 2), who lead the pack and he is in the company Geoffrey Omondi -(FIVB Level 2)
Catherine Mabwi -(FIVB Level 3),John Mwaniki – (FIVB Level 2) and Elisha Aliwa – (FIVB Level I).
The interview is scheduled for February 15.
Munala is attached to National League Champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team and is the current Malkia Strikers coach, Omondi is with former champions Kenya Pipeline, while Mambwi is attached to Mpesa Foundation.
Mwaniki is with Nairobi Water while Aliwa is with Kenya Defence Forces and also coaches the men’s National team.
Assistant coach position has attracted nine candidates with KVF only needing two positions.
The candidates are Marvin Tuikong (FIVB Level 2),Samuel Mugata -(FIVB Level 2),David Muthui( FIVB Level 2) Margaret Indakala ( FIVB Level I), Josp Barasa (FIVB Level 2), Esther Chepkosgei (FIVB Level 2),Vernon Khayinga – (FIVB Level 2),Esther Ouna ( FIVB Level I) and Jackline Barasa -(FIVB Level I).
The physical trainer has Tom Lagat,Sally Wanjala -(FIVB Level 2),Jeremiah Mukopi -( FIVB Level 2), Emmah Kondoa – (FIVB Level 2) and Azenga Mavisi – (FIVB Level 2).
