Former champions General Service Unit labored to beat their perennial rivals and reigning champions Kenya Prisons 3-2(25-19,20-25,23-25,25-11 and 15-13) in the five set thriller in the third leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League played at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium ,Nairobi on Saturday.
GSU inflicted Kenya Prisons to their first loss of the season.
In the other matches played at the Nyayo, visiting Western Jaguars shocked pre-match favorite Trailblazers 3-2(19-25,25-19,25-21,21-25 and 16-14) at the outdoor courts, while Kenya Forest Service won against KAPU 3-0(25-17,29-27,25-20).
Kenya Ports Authority defeated Rift Valley Prisons 3-0(25-17,27-25,25-14),as Kenya Army came from a set down to dismiss National Youth Service 3-1(21-25,25-16,25-17,25-21), while Nairobi Prisons fell at the hands of Kenya Defence Forces 3-0(25-22,25-20,25-18).
