Kenya Volleyball Federation deputy president Paul Bitok Thursday Eulogized Janet Wanja as hard working and a believer in what she thought was right.
Wanja’s memorial service was held on Thursday at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, indoor arena, Nairobi.
Bitok said that after his 10 years stint in Rwanda, senior Malkia strikers’ players approached him to be the Malkia Strikers coach.
“I was given the chance to coach the women’s team. Later when i went into management, Wanja among other players challenged me to get more former players to join the national team’s technical bench, “said Bitok.
“When i was elected the deputy president, i suggested that Wanja be appointed the Malkia Strikers trainer and the executives bought the idea,” he added.
