President William Ruto through the Ministry of Sports Thursday donated Sh 500,000 to the late Janet Wanja’s family during the Memorial service ceremony at Kasarani Indoor Arena.
The President acknowledged Wanja’s legacy and the impact she had on sports in Kenya.
Evans Achoki,the Secretary Administration of Sports read the President’s message.
In the message, the President expressed deep condolences to Wanja’s family, friends, and the sports fraternity, honoring her dedication and contributions to Kenyan volleyball. He described her as a gifted athlete and team player who served the nation with distinction.
