Nigeria Customs Service will stage the 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Clubs Championship in Abuja, Nigeria on April 1-14.
The competition shall be used as the continental qualifier to the FIVB 2025 Volleyball Women’s Club Championship.
Zamalek won the title in the event that was hosted in Egypt
Local champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team, Kenya Prisons and Kenya Pipeline will be Kenya representatives at the 14-day event after emerging in the top three positions in the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League play-offs.
Pipeline,KCB and Prisons finished in the third, fourth and fifth positions in that order respectively last year.
CAVB released a press release on Thursday night.
The press release read, “We thus invite all Federations to kindly register their club representatives by sending to CAVB not later than March 6, the attached Registration Form and 0-2 Form. The Federations are also to ensure registration of their team delegation members on the FIVB VIS System and indicate the FIVB number for each player and official on the 0-2 Form. We will appreciate if the forms are properly filled in by computer for ease of legibility,”
“Each Federation may register a maximum of three teams in the championship however the federation from which the defending champion comes may register a maximum of four teams. Further please be advised that no team’s final confirmation will be accepted without prove of payment for the participation fees (Sh 129,248) by sending a clear scanned copy of the bank transfer as no cash payment will be accepted during the competition,”
