Former National and Branch official Ibrahim Mauko Efumbi was laid to rest at his home in Bukobe Village,Kakamega County on Saturday.
Kenya Volleyball Federation President Charles Nyaberi and branch officials led volleyball fraternity in giving their last respect to the family of Efumbi.
Nyaberi celebrated Efumbi’s achievements calling on branch officials to work together to mantain the legacy left behind by the late.
Also in attendance was the Kakamega County Patron and Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera.
Branch chairman John Wambaya emphasized the need to revive The Inter-Constituency tournament and the first Memorial Cup to be held in the memory of the late.
Efumbi was father to Farida, former KCB Women’s Volleyball Team setter,Issa and Rashid.He leaves behind a wife Lilian.
