Kenya Volleyball fraternity has been thrown into mourning after the passing on former National and Kakamega Branch chairman Ibrahim Efumbi.
Efumbi was the father of former KCB setter Farida.
Kenya Volleyball Federation Deputy President Paul Bitok mourned Efumbi as a visionary leader whose unwavering passion and tireless dedication to the sport saw the development of the sport in Kakamega and across the nation.
In a statement Bitok said,”The passing of Ibrahim Efumbi is indeed a profound loss to the volleyball community and the sports fraternity at large.
His visionary leadership not only inspired countless young talents but also established a strong foundation for the sport’s competitive progress,”
“As we come to terms with this loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire volleyball community.
KVF through the Kakamega branch, will collaborate closely to ensure a dignified farewell for our former chairman,”

KVF Gender and Minority Miduda Waweru termed the death of Efumbi as truly sad saying she had lost a confidant,”
