After being out of action for one season, due to financial constraints, Vihiga Volleyball club is back and ready to start a fresh.
The side coached by Samuel Mugata arrived in the Capital City on Thursday well in time for the Kenya Volleyball Federation men’s Division Two League that gets underway on Friday through to Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium handball and volleyball courts in Nairobi.
Vihiga has previously competed in the National League before they moved to the lower tier.
Mugata said the team was raring to go after beefing up the squad.
“We stayed out of action for one season and now we are back and ready for our presence to be felt. We have trained well and we are ready for the action. We will have a feel of the court later in the day,” said Mugata.
Kenya Navvy will welcome Vihiga on Friday, take on Chemasteel on Saturday before they wrap up the weekend tour with a match against Deaf on Sunday
