Onform Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) men’s volleyball team have opted out of the second leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League set for November 29 to December 1 at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium,Nairobi due to official duties.
KDF who are under the tutelage of National men’s volleyball team Wafalme coach Elisha Aliwa are fourth on the log with three points from one match.
KDF muscled their way to the finals during the Mwalimu Kahiga Tournament in Nyeri County early this month at the Kamukunji grounds where they had tied at 1:1 ratio with General Service Unit before the match was abandoned due to late serve off.
Defending champions lead the standings with 11 points from four matches, Kenya Ports Authority(KPA) and Trailblazers come in second and third positions with six points from two matches each played but KPA have a better set ratio..
At the bottom end, National Youth Service, Nairobi Prisons and Western Prisons who occupy the last three positions as they have not touched a ball will begin their title hunt with their respective matches in the three-day packed action to the played at the indoor arena and the outdoor volleyball court
