“All of these players work at the Chema Steel and hardware in Juja, Kiambu County and we just realized that the players had interest in the sport and we decided to form the team so that the players can also kill boredom. We have since competed in the Mtaa games, won and lost some. We also stage our own Annual Chema Steel Tournament. This year we decided to join the League where we hope to get more competition, ” said Mathenge the owner of the Chema Steel and hardware Company based in Juja,Thika.
“We are determined to win the title and get promotion to the National League. In the National League, we will be out to muscle for the title since our objective is to compete in the African Clubs Championship,” added Mathenge.
The official said that they have not played most of the teams in the League but was quick to add that the development will work in their favor.
“We have played against Simlaw and The Beast and the results have gone either way. We look forward to a better outing this weekend and the forthcoming matches. We also have women in our company, and we are looking forward to form a women’s team in future to create a fair working environment ,” he added.
