Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kenya Pipeline and KCB Women’s Volleyball Team Saturday recorded wins as the Governor Mwalimu Kahiga Open Tournament served off at the Kamukunji grounds in Nyeri County.
DCI had to dig deep to see off Kenya Defence Forces 3-2 (25-18, 23-25 25-14, 19-25, 15-10) in pool “A”, while KCB saw off Kenya Army 3-0(25-12,25-15,25-17) in pool “B” action.
Kenya Pipeline dismissed Post Bank 3-0( 25-16, 25-18 25-14) to remain favourites to proceed to semis alongside the Bankers in pool “B”.
In men’s pool “A” Trailblazers held their nerve to beat Kenya Army 3-2(25-16, 25-22, 22-25,18-25, 15-10) while Kenya Defence Forces defeated Equity Bank to top pool “B” 3-1(25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18).
General Service Unit overwhelmed Administration Police of Kenya 3-1( 25-17, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18) to also finish top of pool “C”.
Kenya Airport Police Unit(KAPU) swept aside Rapid Development Unit (RDU) 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-20) in pool “D”.
