KCB Women’s Volleyball Team won Day One matches against Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) from Uganda as the Kipchumba Karori International Volleyball Tournament got underway on Friday at the Eldoret National Polytechnic grounds in Uasin Gishu County.
KCB saw off DCI 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) and KCCA 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-22) in “A”.
The bankers will wrap up their pool with a match against Post Bank on Saturday.
In the other results, DCI recovered from earlier defeat at the hands of KCB to beat Post Bank 3-0(25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15) and KCCA 3-1 (17-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-15).
In pool “B”, Kenya Prisons defeated Kenya Pipeline B 3-1 win (25-16, 21-25, 22-25, 20-25) and Nemo Stars from Uganda 3-0 (25-8, 25-18, 25-15).
Prisons completed the day with a 3-0 (24-14, 25-16, 25-17) win over Kenya Defence Forces before KDF defeated Nemostars 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-19) and KCCA with a 3-0 win (25-15, 25-14, 25-13).
Pipeline “B” later overwhelmed their compatriots Pipeline A 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19) and KDF 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-12), while Pipeline A beat 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-8).
