Exceptional and steadfast best describes The Beast men’s volleyball team that will start life in the Kenya Volleyball Federation Division Two this Friday at the Nyayo National Stadium outside courts.
The team was founded by Joseph Ochieng last May with intention of creating jobs for the players.
Ochieng revealed that they have also started The Beast Academy that features under 15 kids across the various schools around Embakasi,Nairobi.
Ochieng said that after testing the waters in the Mtaa Tournaments, and excelling , the team wants to try a hand in the League and hopefully to leave a mark.
“Our objectives are clear, expose the players and if they can get jobs then that will be a plus for us. But we are in the business of writing proposal to various companies who can buy the idea of acquiring this team,” said Ochieng who double up as the Team Manager.
“Again the exposure will see some of players in future earn National team call ups which is something I’m looking forward to. But as we make our debut we just want to perform well and create a niche for ourselves,” said the official.
The Beast will play Engineers on Friday, square it out with Kenya Airforce on Saturday.
